Depart from (EWR) Newark Airport, NJ to Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv. Dinner and breakfast will be served on board.
Awaken to a glorious dawn! The excitement begins the moment we arrive and prepare ourselves for a life changing experience in Holy Land following the footsteps of Jesus and Mary. Upon arrival, our local tour guide will meet us after our airport formalities. It will be followed by a relaxing journey along the coastal road to Caesarea Maritima. We will visit Herod' s masterpieces including the Roman Aqueduct Theater, Herod's Palace, Hippodrome and the Harbor, where St. Paul sailed on from here to his mission abroad. Then we visit the city of Haifa, Our Lady of M t. Carmel and Elijah' s Grotto. We will have our Mass at el-Muhraqa. We will stop by Tel Meggido on our way to Tiberias. We will check-in to our hotel followed by a dinner and rest.
After breakfast, we go to Caesaria Philippi (Banias) then to Sepphoris. In the afternoon, we will visit Kafr Kanna and have the renewal of Catholic marriage vows for couples. Then we proceed to Nazareth to visit and have the Mass at the Basilica of the Annunciation - the place where the archangel Gabriel appeared to Mary. We will visit Mary and Joseph's house, where Jesus spent about 30 years of his life, then visit the Church of St. Joseph. We will also visit a local synagogue in Nazareth.
We begin our day at Beit She'an then we visit the hometown of Saint Mary Magdalene - Migdal (Magdaia) then we go to M t. of Beatitudes for our Mass. After we visit the Yigal Alon Museum then enjoy a relaxing boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. We continue to Tabgha - site of the miracle of the multiplication of the loaves & fishes. Then we proceed to the Church of the Primacy of St. Peter where we see the " Mensa Christi." Then we go to Capernaum - the town of Jesus. Here we will see the House of St. Peter and one of the ancient synagogues.
Today, we will have our mass at Mount Tabor, the site of the Transfigu ration then continue to Qasr el Yahud where we have the renewal of baptismal vows at the Jordan River. We proceed to Jericho, the oldest city in the world with spectacular view of the Mount of Temptations. We will have our Mass at the Church of the Good Shepherd. We will see the sycamore tree on our way to Jericho. We will visit Masada and then have an opportunity to swim in the Dead Sea. We will check-in to a hotel near the Dead Sea.
Today, we go to Qumran ruins where the Dead Sea scrolls were found then visit Samaria in Wadi Qelt overlooking St. George Monastery. Then we go to Bethlehem - the birthplace of Jesus and David. We will have our Mass at the Shepherds' Field. We go to the Church of the Nativity to venerate the very birth location of Jesus Christ. Then we go to Milk Grotto Church. We will check into a hotel in Jerusalem.
Today, we ascend to the Mount of Olives. We will visit the Church in Bethpage then the Dome of the Ascension, Church of Pater Noster. We will walk along Palm Sunday Road stopping at Church of Dominus Flevit where Jesus wept. Continue walking along the Jewish cemetery with a view of the eastern or Golden Gate. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and have the Mass at the Church of all Nations. We will visit the Upper Room (Cenacle), David's Tomb, Dormition Abbey and ending at the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu.
This morning we visit the Church of St. Anne, Pool of Bethesda, then to the City of David. We will walk through Canaanite/ King Hezekiah's Tunnel to the Pool of Siloam. Then after our visit to the Temple Mount, we proceed to Yad Vashem Museum. We go to the village of Ein Kerem - the birthplace of St John the Baptist, the Church of the Visitation, the Church of St. John the Baptist and Mary's Spring.
We will solemnly pray the Via Dolorosa. Along the way, we will visit the Church of Condemnation, Church of Flagellation, Ecce Homo Arch. We will have a Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Here we visit the location where Jesus Christ was crucified, died, buried, and resurrected. We visit the emp ty tomb of Jesus, the Chapel of the Angel, the site where the True Cross had been found. Then we go to the Bible Land Museum to see the Model of the Old City of Jerusalem and the Dead Sea Scrolls. Then we proceed to Bethany at the Church of Lazarus.
Today, we the Old City of Jerusalem, Cardo Maxim us, Dome of the Rock, AI- Aqsa Mosque, and the Western Wall. After the final shopping, we will have our Mass at EmmausNicopolis, where we see the ruins of the 12th century church, which now marks the village of Emmaus where Jesus appeared to two disciples after Resurrection. Then we will have a quick visit to the Old Port City of Jaffa. In the evening, we enjoy a farewell dinner at a local restaurant before departing Tel Aviv back to New Jersey, USA.
