11 Day France with Sacred Heart Parish Lead by Msgr. De Santis


Day 1 - Sept 19th: Depart USA

Day 2 - Sept 20th: TOULOUSE-LOURDES

Upon our arrival in Toulouse we will be met by our Regina Tour guide and transferred to Lourdes. Overnight. (D)

Day 3 - Sept 21st: LOURDES

We will have an early Mass at the Holy Grotto before we participate in the walking tour of Lourdes where we will visit the places associated with the life of St. Bernadette. These places include the Boly Mill where St. Bernadette was born; the Locale Mill, residence of her parents; the “Cachot,” formerly used as a jail where she lived at the time of the Apparitions; the Chapel where St. Bernadette received her First Holy Communion; and the Parish Church containing the Baptismal Font where she was baptized. Dinner and overnight (B,D)

Day 4 - Sept 22nd: LOURDES

Day at leisure, We will walk the life–sized Stations of the Cross and submerge ourselves in the healing baths. Once again, after dinner, we can participate in the Candlelight International Rosary Procession. Dinner and overnight in Lourdes.(B,D)

DAY 5 - Sept 23rd: LOURDES – ARS

We depart Lourdes for Ars, the home of St. Jean-Marie Vianney, patron saint of priests. We will visit: the 12th century church where the saint preached, the Basilica built next to the church that displays the saint's incorrupt body, Heart Chapel which contains the saint's heart, the home of St. John Vianney, preserved the way he left it, and the orphanage founded by the saint. Mass will be celebrated. Dinner and overnight in Ars. (B,D)

DAY 6 - Sept 24th: ARS - PARAY LE MONIAL

Today, we travel to Paray Le Monial where on December 27th 1673 Jesus mourned the world's ingratitude, indifference, and coldness. We will visit the Chapel of the Visitation where Jesus exposed His Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque during many apparitions. Jesus asked St Margaret Mary for a Communion of Reparation on the First Friday of each month. We will visit the Reliquary of St Margaret Mary containing her relics, located underneath the wax figure of the saint. Dinner and overnight in Paray Le Monial. (B,D)


After breakfast we head for Lisieux via Nevers to visit the Convent of St. Gildard where we see the incorrupt body of St. Bernadette. After taking the veil St Bernadette lived 12 years as a member of the Sisters of Nevers. St. Bernadette was very ill and received the Sacrament of Healing three times before her death at age 35 in 1879. We continue on to Lisieux. Dinner and overnight in Lisieux.(B,D)

DAY 8 - Sept 26th: LISIEUX- PARIS

After breakfast we will enjoy the city of Lisieux, home of St. Therese. We will visit: Les Buissonnetts, St. Therese family home, which displays relics, clothing and personal objects belonging to the “little flower”, the Carmelite Convent where St. Therese spent her short but holy life as a nun, the Basilica of St. Therese of the Infant Jesus and St. Peter's Cathedral where St. Therese received the Sacraments. As we tour the places that have touched the life of St. Therese we can see and feel the extraordinary love she had for God and her service to humanity come alive. Pope Pius X called St. Therese “the greatest saint of modern times”. Mass will be celebrated at the Basilica of St. Therese. Departure for Paris for Dinner and overnight. (B,D)

DAY 9 - Sept 27th: PARIS

Today we will visit the Rue du Bac Chapel and celebrate Mass. At the convent the Blessed Virgin Mary revealed two of the greatest treasures of the world, the Miraculous Medal and the Green Scapular. In the Basilica we see the incorrupt body of St Catherine Laboure and the incorrupt heart of St. Vincent de Paul. Next we visit the Basilica of Sacre-Coeur (Sacred Heart) located on the top of Montmarte Hill which offers a magnificent sweeping view of Paris. We will have time to shop some of the lovely shops before we head for our hotel. Dinner will be on our own. Overnight (B)

DAY 10 - SEPT 28th: PARIS

After breakfast we will have a morning tour of Paris, “The City of Lights”. Our first stop will be the Basilica of Notre Dame with its magnificent spires and world famous stained glass rose windows. Many Kings have been crowned at the basilica and many famous artist and poets are buried inside this 12th century basilica. Victor Hugo immortalized the basilica with his Hunchback of Notre Dame. We return to our motor coach for a panorama city tour of the Champs Elysee, Arc de Triomphe, and Eiffel Tower and the Palace. The afternoon is at leisure to explore Paris on our own with its many museums, shops, cafes, the Latin Quarter, or walk along the Seine River viewing the many artist works displayed all the river. Dinner and overnight. (B,D)

DAY 11 - Sept 29th: RETURN HOME

After breakfast we transfer to the airport for our flight home arriving home the same day. We will take with us many memories and blessings to last us a life time. (B)
