Lenten Pilgrimage to Fatima & Lourdes
- Celebrate mass at the Church of St. Stephen, which houses the Miracle of the Bleeding Host.

- Visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima and the location where Our Lady appeared to the shepherd children.
- Visit the Shrine of Lourdes, where Our Lady appeared to St. Bernadette.

DAY 1: NEW YORK TO LISBON
Depart New York area gateway. Enjoy dinner and breakfast on overnight fl ight.
DAY 2: FATIMA
Arriving in Lisbon, we are greeted by our tour guide and board our deluxe motor coach for a panoramic tour of the charming Portuguese capital. See the fanciful Belem Tower, Jeronimos Monastery, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the Monument to the Discoveries and the Basilica of St. Anthony (patron saint of lost objects). Continue to Fatima with a stop in Santarem, one of the oldest cities in the world, to the Church of St. Stephen, which houses the Miracle of the Bleeding Host on continuous display since 1269 AD. Mass can be celebrated here before we depart for Fatima, arriving in the afternoon to check into our hotel. Balance of the day at leisure. In the evenings (if available) join in the moving Rosary Candlelight Procession beginning in the Little Chapel of the Apparitions (Capelinha). Dinner and overnight in Fatima. (D)
DAY 3: FATIMA
After breakfast, we attend public mass in English at the Apparition Chapel. This morning discover the hamlet of Aljustrel, the shep herd children's home. Continue to Valinhos, where Our Lady appeared after the children's release from prison. Visit the church where they were baptized and the local cemetery. Take some time for private devotions before a video presentation on the history of Fatima. Later par ticipate in the Rosary and the Candlelight Procession, if it is available. Overnight in Fatima. DAY 4: FATIMA
We visit the Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima, starting at the pristine Basilica, with the tombs of Jacinta and Francisco, beatified in 2000, and Sr. Lucia. We have the opportunity to attend the International Mass at the Basilica of Most Holy Trinity. Continue to the Capelinha, where Our Lady appeared to the shepherd children. Light a candle near the shrine, walk the lovely grounds or shop for religious articles nearby. After dinner we can once again experience the Rosary Candlelight Procession, if it is available. Overnight in Fatima. (B, D)
DAY 5: BURGOS
After breakfast we depart Fatima for Spain, driving along the rustic beautiful Portuguese countryside, be fore crossing the border into Spain. We continue to the city of Burgos, founded in the 9th century, the historic capital of Old Castle. We will have an orientation tour of the city highlighted by a visit to the imposing magnificent limestone Gothic Basilica, one of Spain's largest and most beautiful churches. Dinner and overnight in Burgos. (B, D)
DAY 6: LOURDES
We depart Burgos for Lourdes, enjoying the scenic ride through the rugged Pyrenees Mountains and travel into neighboring France. We arrive in the after noon to visit the beloved Shrine of Lourdes, where in 1858 at the Grotto of Massabielle Our Lady appeared to the 14-year-old Bernadette Soubirous calling herself the “Immaculate Conception.” Check into our hotel and after dinner we are invited to take part in the evening International Rosary Candlelight Procession (if available). Dinner and overnight in Lourdes. (B, D)
DAY 7: LOURDES
After breakfast, we will attend an English Mass at 9am at Saint Cosme and Damain's Chapel before a walking tour tracing the life of St. Bernadette, which includes visits to the Boly Mills where Bernadette was born; the Lo cale Mill, residence of her parents; the “Cachot,” formerly used as a jail, where she lived at the time of the Apparitions; the Chapel where she received her First Holy Communion; and the Parish church containing the Font, where she was baptized. The afternoon is at leisure to pray and meditate at the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary, with its breathtaking murals, or take part in the Eucharistic Devotion, Blessed Sacrament Procession and praying for the sick. Tonight we are invited to participate in the International Rosary Candlelight Procession. ( subject to availability ) Dinner and overnight, (B, D)
DAY 8: LOURDES
After Mass this morning at Saints Cosme and Damian's chapel at 9am , the whole day is at leisure ( FREE DAY ) for personal devotions. Take the opportunity to drink the water from miraculous spring or submerge yourself inthe “Healing Baths.” NOTE: The Water Gesture is located in front of the new fountains in the Sanctuary ( in case of rain, inside the large sacristy of the Grotto ) from 10-11am and 2:30-3:30pm. In the evening we are invited to take partin the International Rosary Candlelight Procession ( subject to availability )Dinner and overnight. (B,D)
DAY 9: LOURDES/LISBON TO NEW YORK
After breakfast, we depart for Toulouse airport for our return flight to Munich where we connect for our flight home. Arrive home the same day, taking with us memories and blessings to last a life time . (B)
Faima is a peaceful village in Portugal here Our Blessed Lady appeared to three shepherd children from May 13th to Oct 13th 1917. Lourdes is located in the Pyrenees Mountains of France. Here in 1858 Our Lady visited Bernadette18 times near the Grotto of Massabielle calling herself the Immaculate Conception.
